Year 12 Summer 2022 Examination Information.
Year 12 have the opportunity to sit external AS qualification(s) in the summer. AGS will pay for one entry, pupils pay for anything additional. Any subject not entered for an external AS level will automatically default to an Internal exam. Decision day is 9.00 am Thursday 4th February . Here is the fee list and payment is via parentpay.
If you decide that you no longer wish to sit an external AS then you must email the exams office by Monday 4 April to receive a refund. Once withdrawn you will then sit the internal exam.
From 22 February late fees (double the fee) are charged by the exam board and from 22 April very late fees (triple the fee) are charged by the exam board. These dates are during the school holidays so you must enter by Wednesday 16 February and Monday 4 April to avoid the late fees.
The AS internal/external timetable will be published after 8 February once all entries have been processed.
The Examinations Boards have designated Wednesday 29 June 2022 as a contingency day for external examinations. This date is set aside in the event of a national or local disruption to examinations. If disruption happens the GCSE/GCE exam would be taken up to or including Wednesday 29 June 2022. Therefore candidates are requested to make sure they are available up to and including this date and not to plan holidays until after this date.
