Educational Visits
At AGS, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Our trips and educational visits broaden horizons, foster independence, and create lasting memories. From local cultural excursions to international expeditions, our programme offers rich learning opportunities for every year group. We strive to provide a range of day and residential trips at varying costs, ensuring that opportunities remain accessible across our school community.
Our approach to educational visits is set out in our Trips Policy, which outlines our vision and the responsibilities of all involved. We are committed to making every visit as inclusive as possible.
If you are in a position to contribute towards supporting students who might otherwise face financial barriers to participation, we would be deeply grateful. Please contact our Assistant Principal, Mrs Price. Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference.
All educational visits depend on staff availability and strong parental support to enable them to run. Below, you will find details of residential trips offered in recent years.
Please note: Costs shown are based on previous years' trips and serve as a guide only. Final costs will be confirmed when new trips are launched. Unless stated otherwise, trips are launched in the academic year in which they take place.

Behaviour and Expectations
While the vast majority of our students represent the school impeccably on educational visits, please note that all trips are official school activities. Consequently, the school’s standard rules, values, and expectations apply at all times. Any breach of our Behaviour Policy on a trip will be dealt with in accordance with school procedures and may result in exclusion from future visits.
For residential trips, students are expected to demonstrate appropriate independence, resilience, and a positive attitude. The school reserves the right to withdraw a student from a trip—or decline an application should any student fail to demonstrate these expectations in school or on previous visits.
Refund Policy on Cancellation or Withdrawal
Please note that if a student withdraws from a trip or is removed due to behavioural, pastoral concerns or policy breaches, any fees already paid are non-refundable, as funds are committed in advance to transport, accommodation and venue providers. While we will endeavour to find a replacement student in order to recover costs where possible, this cannot be guaranteed. Parents and carers are strongly advised to keep this in mind when consenting to educational visits.
