Trips
We strive to provide a range of day and residential trips at varying costs, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to families with different financial circumstances across our school community.
Our approach to educational visits is set out in our Trips Policy, which outlines our vision and the responsibilities of all involved. We are committed to making trips as inclusive as possible.
If you are able to contribute towards supporting students who may otherwise face barriers to participation, we would be very grateful. Please contact our Assistant Principal, Mrs Price, at s.price@alcestergs.com. Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference, and we will be in touch should your support be required.
AGS offers a wide variety of residential trips. Some are well-established features of the school calendar, while others are offered on a more ad-hoc basis. All trips are dependent on staff availability to organise them and parental support to enable them to run.
Below are examples of residential trips that have been offered regularly in recent years.
Please note that the costs shown are based on the previous year’s trips. Final costs will be confirmed for new trips as they are launched and made available for booking.

While the vast majority of students conduct themselves impeccably on school trips, it is important to note that all trips are official school activities and the school’s usual rules and expectations apply. Students are expected to conduct themselves in the same manner as they would at school. Any breach of the school's behaviour policy may result in disciplinary action in school and could lead to exclusion from future trips.
For residential trips, students are also expected to demonstrate appropriate levels of behaviour, independence, resilience, and a positive attitude. The school reserves the right to withdraw a student from a trip, or not to offer a place, if they have not demonstrated these expectations either in school or on previous trips.
