Principal

Alcester Grammar School is looking to appoint a Principal for their outstanding school which is
situated in the small market town of Alcester in a semi-rural environment in South Warwickshire
around eight miles from Stratford upon Avon.

Alcester Grammar School (AGS), which became an academy in 2011, is a mixed selective school with
a large sixth form. The school has over 1300 students, of whom around 550 are in the sixth form. It
takes 150 students into Y7 each year via the 11+ but has a wider reach for sixth form students. Their
philosophy is that all students aspire to be decent human beings who have respect for their peers
and all other members of society.

AGS are looking to appoint an inspirational individual who will continue to develop the school and to
provide professional leadership, securing and enhancing its success and development, ensuring high

Teacher of DT

Start Date: Easter 2022 or September 2022
Reports to: Head of DT
Salary: MPS/UPS

This is a permanent, full time position 

We are looking to recruit someone with a passion for teaching Design and excellent subject knowledge to join our hardworking, innovative Design department ideally from Easter 2022, or from September 2022. The department has well-established schemes of work and places a strong emphasis on developing the 4 main areas of assessment from Key stage 3 and advancing these skills and abilities to prepare students for future progression at Key stage 4,5 and beyond. The successful applicant will be well-supported throughout their time here.

Teacher of Biology

Start Date: September 2022
Reports to: Head of Biology | Head of Science
Salary: MPS/UPS

This is a permanent position

We are looking for a teacher of Biology to join us from September 2022. Applicants should be inspiring, innovative, and well-organised practitioners with a genuine passion for Biology.  This post would be suitable for an NQT or for a more experienced teacher and there is the potential for a significant amount of A level teaching for a suitable candidate.

The Science and Biology department has well-established schemes of work across all year groups and places a strong emphasis on teamwork. The successful applicant will be very well supported throughout their time here. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outstanding academic environment with innovative and experienced colleagues and keen, well-motivated students.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful innovative practice.  There is the potential for a significant amount of A level chemistry teaching for a suitable candidate.

Part time Cleaning Assistant (morning shifts)

Start Date: ASAP | subject to references and DBS clearance
Reports to: Cleaning Supervisor
Salary: MPS/UPS

This is a permanent position

Hours required:  Monday to Friday, 5:30am to 8:30am daily | 3 hours per day | totaling 15 hours per week

Working weeks:   39 weeks a year | Term time (38 weeks) plus 5 days in school holidays (last 5 days of the school summer holidays) | 44.5 paid weeks per year

Salary:   NJC Band A, spinal point 01 | £6,342.89 per annum (currently £9.50 per hour), based on a full-time equivalent of £18,333 per annum, plus local government pension scheme.

We require a morning cleaner to join our established cleaning team.  Applicants must be reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team.  Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given.
