Reports to: Site Manager
Salary: £18,065 p.a.
NJC Grade B, spinal point 03, plus local government pension scheme
Hours: 37 hours per week and 52 weeks per year
Flexibility is critical, you must available upon request from the Site Manager to start your shift slightly
later with a later finish to cater for locking up after school evening events which often finish after 7pm
e.g.: parents evenings, concerts etc
The successful candidate will be carrying out general caretaking duties which will include opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance / repairs, emptying bins, grounds maintenance, manual handling etc. The role will also include Health and Safety checks of both site and grounds and ensuring security of the school site. Excellent DIY skills are essential, previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
