    2018 Key Stage 4 Results:

    ·         Another very strong year of GCSE results – although introduction of the new 9-1 GCSEs in all subjects (except DT & Business) as well as an expanded year group (90 to 120) mean that direct comparisons from previous years are difficult.

    ·        9-8 (or A*) 42% (up from 33%),  9-7 or A*-A  61%, 4+ or A*-C rate of 98%

    ·         Attainment 8 score of 72.4 (average grade well above 7 in best 8 GCSEs)

    ·         Progress 8 score increases to +0.35 (from 0.30) indicating that our progress is significantly above average (top fifth of all schools)

    ·         98% grades 9-4 (old A*-C) in English & Maths,   92% grades 9-5 (strong pass) in English & Maths        

    ·         82% of Year 11 entered the English Baccalaureate - 66% achieved this.  English P8 +0.27,  Maths P8 +0.14, Science P8 +0.40,   Humanities P8 +0.50, Languages P8 -0.10, Open P8 +0.50

    ·         100% of Students continued in education or training, or moved on to employment  (This data, published in October 2017, is for pupils who completed secondary (year 11, or key stage 4) in 2015, which is the most recent data available.)

    2018 A level results:

    ·        Highest ever 70.1% (68.2%) A*-B grades.

    ·        79 Students (almost a third) achieved at least AAB or above with over half our internal AGS cohort reaching a similar standard.

    ·         Level 3 Value added progress measure shows that we add on average a fifth of a grade to expected student performance (in latest available 2017 data set)
