Post Results Services - Summer 2019

Post Results Services - Summer 2019

    Which service do I require?

Before any post results services can be requested, all students must complete the online consent form that was sent to their AGS email account at the end of term.  This confirms full understanding and acceptance that with any clerical check, review of marking, or any subsequent appeal, grades may go down as well as up.  It further confirms that AGS has permission to access a copy of individual students' exam scripts on their behalf.

ANY REQUESTS RECEIVED WITHOUT A CORRESPONDING CONSENT FORM WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Priority review of marking – A Level (GCE): This service is only available for a very short time and is for A Level students whose place in higher education is dependent on the outcome.  Universities and colleges will endeavour to be flexible in keeping places open, however, it is vital that students inform them as soon as a priority review of marking has been requested.  The cost for this service is £65 per paper and the deadline is midday on 21/08/19. If you would like to order a copy of the reviewed script, the cost for this is a further £16 per paper; please request this at the same time.

Priority review of marking - GCSE: This service is only available for a very short time and is for Pearson Edexcel ONLY. This is a new service for 2019 and is intended for exceptional cases only; please seek advice before requesting this service. The cost for this service is £65 per paper and the deadline is midday on 23/08/19. If you would like to order a copy of the reviewed script, the cost for this is a further £16 per paper; please request this at the same time.

Priority access to scripts for AS and A level papers: This service is also only available for a short time.  Ask for this if you need to see a copy of a paper before deciding whether to lodge a 'review of marking'.  Scripts may be hard copy or electronic. The cost is £17 per paper, apart from Pearson/Edexcel which is £2 per paper. The deadline is midday on 21/08/19. These will be received in school by 05/09/19 - they are therefore not guaranteed to arrive before the ‘priority review of marking’ deadline.

Priority access to scripts for GCSE papers: This service is only available for a very short time and is a new service for 2019.  Ask for this if you need to see a copy of a paper before deciding whether to lodge a 'review of marking'. Scripts may be hard copy or electronic. The cost is £17 per paper apart from Pearson/Edexcel which is £2 per paper. The deadline is midday on 23/08/19. These will be received in school by 05/09/19  which will give you time to decide whether to go ahead with a 'review of marking'. For AQA this service is only available for English Language and English Literature, for all other boards it is open to all subjects.

Review of marking: This is a review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly.  This service includes a re-check of all clerical procedures and a review of the initial marking - it is NOT a re-mark of the original script.
The cost for this service is £55 per paper and the deadline is midday on 13/09/19.  If you would like to order a copy of the reviewed script, the cost for this is a further £16 per paper; please request this at the same time.

Clerical re-check: This is a re-check of all clerical procedures leading to the issue of a result. This checks that all parts of the script have been marked as well as the totalling and recording of marks.
The cost for this service is £20 per paper, the deadline is  midday on 13/09/19.

Access to scripts: Ask for this if you would like to see a copy of your original exam paper to support your learning. If you are looking for a breakdown of marks then they may be available from your subject teacher without needing to see your script. The cost for this service is £14 per paper, apart from Pearson/Edexcel which is £2 per paper.  The deadline is midday on 13/09/19.  This service should NOT be used where a 'review of marking' is required – a copy of the script will not be back in time to meet this deadline.

You may only request 1 priority service per paper - either a review of marking or copy of the script, NOT both.

How do I order and pay?

The above services are only available via ParentPay, and the fees are per paper, not per subject.  It is therefore essential that you quote the exact individual paper code(s) in the 'Notes' field on ParentPay. These can be found under 'GCE & GCSE Exam Boards and Codes' to the left of this screen.

Please see below for a summary of the above fee structure and click here for details of when fees may be refunded.

NB: ParentPay accounts may be disabled for 2018-19 year 13 students in September 2019 – any post-results services requested after this time should be paid for by cheque (made payable to Alcester Grammar School with student’s name on reverse) or by cash (in a sealed envelope clearly labelled with student’s name and reason for payment).
